The bcm PrimeStorage is the most sold storage system in the corrugated industry and its popularity is easy to understand. Our customers receive an effective and well-organized storage system where dies and printing plates can be sorted in almost endless combinations. Furthermore, the bcm PrimeStorage is easy to operate and its value for money is extremely high.

With an overhead-mounted manually operated crane, this manual double rack storage for flatbed dies and rotary dies is useful if requiring a lot of capacity but without taking up too much space. The storage can be placed anywhere in the factory and can have most sizes and combinations of dies and printing plates. After use, the operator can “park” the crane higher up in the storage to give free passage in the aisle of the storage racks if needed.

Product description

Compared to the single rack F-type storage, the double rack T-type manual flatbed and rotary die storage has a capacity increased by 100%, while the storage space requirements only grow by 50%. The tools can be delivered into the trolleys in more locations, as this T-type crane can rotate 360 degrees.

The storage structure is built mainly from galvanized steel. The crane and the crane rails are a combination of aluminum, galvanized steel and powder-coated steel. The monitor has two cameras —an upper and a lower — to support the operator while operating the crane.

The operator can move the crane manually and at the same time drive the sleigh with the cassette gripper up and down in a vertical direction. This is time-saving, making operation of the crane efficient, especially with high storages.

The bcm PrimeStorage FR2 T-type contains both flat bed dies and rotary dies. The rotary dies can be placed in separate columns preferably at one end of the storage and the flatbed dies in the other end.

This storage is suitable for either single rotary dies or double dies on the shelf. Customers can choose what they prefer in almost all cases, though we do suggest that small rotary dies are arranged in our manual vertical hanging storage. See more about this under “bcm PrimeRack R1-2, MV-type”.

The trolleys for the storage are on wheels and designed to contain 3 cassettes as standard. Each cassette contains all plates needed for one complete set of production dies (cutting die, stripping die, guillotine board and printing drawing). There will be a separate trolley for handling and transporting the rotary dies.

The trolleys are easy to handle by just one person and easy to push. When entering the storage area to pick up the cassettes with dies, the operator just needs to bring the trolley with them, thereby you reducing the moving time of the crane significantly.

While the operator is working in the storage, nobody else should be in the aisle due to safety reasons.
