The bcm PrimeStorage is the most sold storage system the corrugated industry and its popularity is easy to understand. Our customers receive an effective and well-organized storage system where dies and printing plates can be sorted in almost endless combinations. Furthermore, the bcm PrimeStorage is easy to operate and its value for money is extremely high.
With a front-mounted manually operated crane, this manual single rack storage for rotary dies and printing plates is useful if lacking the required space for two racks. This single rack system is practical for a small floor or a free wall area but traffic in the aisle or corridor. After use, the operator can “park” the crane higher up in the storage to permit free passage in front of it.
This storage is suitable for either single rotary dies or double dies on the shelf. Customers can choose what they prefer in almost all cases, though we do suggest that small rotary dies are arranged in our manual vertical hanging storage. See more under bcm PrimeRack R1-2, MV-type.
Product descriptionThe storage structure is built mainly from galvanized steel. The crane and the crane rails are a combination of aluminum, galvanized steel and powder-coated steel. The monitor has a camera to support the operator while operating the crane to lower or lift the rotary dies. Furthermore, the numbered signs help with the logistical organization of the storage, and also work as a marker for the operator. The operator can move the crane manually and, at the same time, drive the sleigh with the rotary die gripper up and down in a vertical direction. This is time-saving, making operation of the crane efficient, especially with high storages. The bcm PrimeStorage RP1, F-type also stores printing plates. The printing plates are placed in the lowest level of the storage and are handled manually without using a crane. The height of the printing plate level depends on the size of the biggest printing plates which gives the “drop” height, as we call it. The trolleys for the storage are on wheels and can be designed to fit individual customer requirements. bcm has a standard range of trolleys for rotary dies, printing plates and a combination of rotary dies with printing plates. The trolleys are easy to handle and push by just one person. When the operator picks up the rotary dies, he must bring them to the garage where the trolley is parked. On the contrary, as the printing plates are picked by hand, the operator can easily have a trolley for printing plates that do not need to be in the garage. Once the trolley is full, the operator can drive to the converting lines with the tools, and a new trolley can be inserted into the garage for loading or unloading. While the operator is working in the storage, nobody else should be in the aisle due to safety reasons. |
