This double-rack layout includes an overhead‑mounted, manually operated crane. This setup is ideal for facilities that need more storage capacity than a single‑rack configuration can provide. The crane supports 360‑degree rotation, allowing tool delivery in any direction and eliminating the need for dedicated garages. When not in use, the operator can park the crane in a raised position to maintain free access in front of the storage.

The operator manually guides the crane. It moves along the overhead rails, while the motor‑assisted vertical sleigh provides smooth and efficient lifting and lowering. As a result, operators can handle dies safely—even in tall storage installations.

A camera monitor supports accurate positioning of the gripper, helping minimize the risk of collisions or damage when picking up or placing dies.

Efficient tool handling with trolleys

BCM’s storage trolleys hold three cassettes, three double‑dies, or four single‑dies as standard. When required, BCM can customize trolleys to match specific storage or production needs. Every cassette contains a complete die set for production, including the cutting die, stripping die, guillotine board, and printing drawing.

Each trolley sits on wheels and is designed for easy maneuvering by a single operator. During operation, the operator rolls the trolley directly into the storage aisle and positions it within arm’s reach. This workflow minimizes walking distance, reduces physical strain, and significantly improves loading and unloading efficiency.
