Factors such as hygiene, health and safety requirements – as well as factory aesthetics – may require the storage to be covered. In these cases, we cover your BCM storage with steel cladding at an additional cost.

Available in several colors. The standard recommended color is RAL 7044 light grey, which is ideal for dusty environments.

Steel Cladding for Safety, Protection, and Cleanliness

Steel cladding comes standard with BCM fully automatic storage systems (AutoStorages). In addition, BCM can equip manual and semi‑automatic storage systems with steel cladding as an optional safety and protection upgrade.

Beyond enhancing factory aesthetics, the cladding blocks UV light, reduces dust transfer, and improves overall cleanliness. More importantly, it acts as a physical safety barrier, preventing access to the storage system during operation. Furthermore, the cladding stops dies from falling through the rear of the rack due to incorrect handling or unexpected software failure.

Flexible Installation Options

When the storage system is installed directly against a wall, rear wall cladding is not required, allowing for flexible layout planning and cost optimization.

Designed for Harsh Industrial Environments

BCM designs the wall cladding specifically for industrial indoor environments and new factory installations. The cladding panels feature a hot‑dip galvanized steel core with a durable surface treatment. As a result, they deliver a strong, low‑maintenance solution suitable for demanding applications, such as corrugated board production facilities with high dust levels.

Standard and Custom Color Options

BCM typically supplies steel cladding in light grey (RAL 7044). This color performs exceptionally well in dusty environments by maintaining a clean appearance. However, alternative colors are available on request to match specific factory or branding requirements.
